Maps specific to the coal duties

Plan of London ... shewing public works

1853. Shows the City and surrounding areas as they were in 1766 with public works such as street improvements 1766-1852 superimposed. More details of Plan of London ... shewing public works.

London district coal dues map

c 1856. Shows the coal duty boundary of 20 miles around the General Post Office in force 1845-1861. The boundary and positions of posts have been added in manuscript to portions of Ordnance Survey 1":1 mile maps. There is an Alphabetical index of the localities of boundary marks inside the cover. Area of coal duties maps

Various copies 1861-1885. Each consists of portions of 1":1 mile Ordnance Survey maps covering the London District with the boundary, railways and positions of posts added by hand. More details of Area of coal duties maps.

Coal Market report map

1868. Shows the boundary and boundary marks and depots for the sale and distribution of coal. More details of Coal Market report map.

London coal &c duties map

London coal dues map

c 1887. Shows the 1861 boundary, the boundary of the Metropolitan Board of Works, and the 'Outside Area' -- ie the area between these two boundaries -- divided into parliamentary constituencies (divisions). More details of London coal dues map.
